Why internship matters?
All students of the TISE program are required to complete a mandatory internship between their second and third semester of studies. The location and the topic of the internship can be freely chosen.
So why an internship matters?
An internship helps students to promote their personal and professional growth.
Some of key internship benefits include the following:
- Be able to apply practical knowledge and be equipped with new skills.
- Gain a better understanding of specific field of interest and have the opportunity to be part of real-life projects.
- It may also be a good opportunity to expand the professional network, which can be very beneficial for the future career.
However, it’s important to work closely with the internship coordinator at UCD to ensure the chosen internship satisfies the necessary requirements of the TISE program.
