Announcement for TISE Nominates

Dear Nominates for the TISE intake 2022,

We are happy to announce that the results of the application process for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships have been already officially released. Altogether, we received 360 eligible applications and only 23 were nominated for the scholarship.

Please be reminded that the course of study will start at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa in Lisbon in Portugal in September. The exact starting date of the Program will be additionally announced. The second semester will take place at University College Dublin in Ireland, the third semester at Poznan University of Economics and Business in Poland and the final semester at the Danube University Krems in Austria.

What are the requirements to get a student visa in Portugal?

*If you are an EU citizen, you don’t need a visa to study in Portugal.

*Non-European (Non-UE) citizens:

Students coming from countries outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland are required to ask for a Student Visa (longer than three months and up to one year) or a Residence Permit (for stays longer than one year).

  • Step 1: Request the Visa/Residence Permit
    Schedule an appointment at the Portuguese embassy or consulate in your home country as soon as you receive the Acceptance Letter.
  • Step 2: Documents:
    These are the main documents requested for the visa application:
    • Valid passport
    • Copy of the Residence Permit issued by other Member State of his/her residence, valid for the totality of the period of stay
    • Health Insurance of evidence in which you are covered by the National Health Service
    • Evidence of the means of subsistence
    • Evidence of having been admitted in a higher education institution under an EU mobility programme or an agreement with the higher education institution of origin
    • Evidence of tuition payment, if applicable. Depending on your nationality, duration of stay and type of service you are applying for, additional documents may be required.

What COVID-19 conditional restrictions apply in Portugal?

* All information regarding the COVID-19 situations relates to the current situation in Portugal can change at any time*

  • Please find all the information regarding health issues and COVID- 19 issues on the Website of the official General Directorate of Health:

Currently, the following rules apply when entering Portugal:

  • All passengers, whether national or foreign, who travel from countries outside the EU and the Schengen area must present, at the time of departure, a proof of test to COVID-19, with a negative result, carried out in the last 72 hours before departure.
  • Traveling from EU countries and the Schengen area with an incidence rate of 500 cases or more per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days have to:
    1.         present, at the time of departure, a proof of test to COVID-19, with a negative result, carried out in the last 72 hours before departure.
    2.         fulfill isolation for 14 days, with the exception of passengers traveling on essential trips and whose period of stay in national territory does not exceed 48 hours
